WALKI FREEDREAMER TINKANESCH
Mostly a painter, Walki will have colourful and diverse paintings to grace the walls of the Tyger Café, along with the multimedia piece, ‘Broken Selves’, that was the centrepiece of a collective exhibition at Block 336 in 2013.
Walki has been drawing, sketching and painting for as long as memory serves. Mostly portraits (humans and other animals), but also occasionally some abstract and modern landscapes.
Walki is a non-binary artist, musician and writer (non-binary: a person who doesn’t and cannot identify with any gender).
Originally from Newcastle, Allan Bell trained in fine art in Paris and has painted for over 30 years. His work utilises acrylics, oils, pastel and watercolour. Subject matters include natural scenes, abstracts, scenes of London including local ones of SE1. He is also a writer and has had many diverse careers in his life ranging from technical author to chemist to business studies lecturer!
